The included power supply should be connected to a circuit with a switch and breaker suitable for the maximum rating of the power supply, which is 4A at 115V and 2.3A at 230V. Locate red button on side of power supply and set it for 115 or 230 volts. Slide the button left or right to select input voltage setting. |
| Connect AC mains (from switch and breaker circuit) to terminal strip on back of power supply. 3 wires should be connected, ground, neutral and hot. Also connect 24Vdc output wires to terminals marked +V and -V. |
Thread output wires from power supply through wire clamp into a 4x4 device box. Connect +V and -V wires to terminal strip on the lid of the standard 4 x 4 electrical device. Use the proper wire size depending on load and distance of power supply. See table at the bottom of this page for information on sizing wire for varying loads and distances. |
| The lid for a standard 4x4 device box is included and the pulse width to DC converter circuit board is mounted on the lid with stand-offs. The power distribution terminal strip is also included and also mounted on the lid. The 4x4x2 box is not included, due to freight costs, but will be available at most building supply stores. |

For distances up to 100', control cable between AS310e and the 4x4 device box can be standard 24 guage telephone cable with 4-conductors. 24-4 Type CM telephone cable is available at most home improvement stores. Run one end of telephone cable through wire clamp into a standard 2 inch conduit box. Cable can be up to 100 feet long. |
| Then attach AirSense 310e to the device box with two screws. Check the AS310e Opertor's Manual to see a block diagram showing where wire terminals and user controls are located on the pcb. |
Attach wires to AS 310e POWER terminals as shown in the picture. Red wire is +24Vdc and black wire -24Vdc. Yellow and green wires carry 0-10Vdc analog control signal out from AS310e to PWM circuit board. Green wire is ground (-), yellow is positive (+). |
| Thread other end of telephone cable through a wire clamp into the device box device. Connect red and black wires to the terminal strip, and the yellow and green wires to the blue terminal on the pcb. |
Black wire connects to terminal marked -8/35VDC, and red wire connects to terminal marked +8/35VDC. Green wire connects to blue block on the pcb marked "GND". and yellow wire connects to blue block on the pcb marked "DC IN".
| Determine length and size of fan wires. Thread fan wires through wire clamps into the 4x4 device box and connect them to the terminal strip. Connect +V fan wires to terminal strip marked "+LOAD" and -V fan wires to terminal strip marked "-LOAD". Connect as many fans as desired, up to a total 6.5A (150 watt) maximum. |
