Adjusting As310e's Analog Control Signal
Analog output is linear between LOW and HIGH setpoints. The slope of the line shows the relationship between analog output and co2 level. AS310e's LOW and HIGH setpoints are field adjustable between 0-5,000 ppm. Read the instructions on pages 7 and 8 of the Operator's Manual. set How does AS310e's analog output control co2 level?
The analog signal controls a proportional damper actuator or a motor speed controller. Analog output proportionaly controls the position of a damper, or the speed of a fan or blower, according to the co2 level. Below the LOW setpoint, the damper will be completely closed and the fan will be off. As co2 level rises, the damper begins to open and/or the fan begins to spin. At the HIGH setpoint the damper will be completely open and/or the fan would be at 100% of capacity.

In practice, damper opening and/or fan speed increases then stabilizes as the amount of fresh air matches the amount of co2 being produced. The damper position and/or fan speed is contunuously readjusted by small changes in the analog signal. When co2 level decreases, the analog signal calls for less fresh air or lower fan speed and maintains constant equilibrium between co2 production and fresh air input. set analog

ADJUSTING ANALOG SETTINGS

Locate these items on the AS310e's pcb:

1. the block of jumpers JP1-5

2. the UP & DOWN buttons

3. the jumper to select whether output is volts or milliamps

4. the analog output terminals.

Move JP5 to JP4
FIRST STEP

Move the jumper from JP5 to JP4. LCD will show "SEL".

For HI setpoint close JP2 and use UP or DOWN button SECOND STEP for HIGH setpoint

Momentarily short the pins of JP2. LCD will show current setting for high setpoint. In case wrong pins are shorted, start over by moving jumper from JP4 back to JP5. Begin sequence again by moving jumper at JP5 to JP4, lcd will show SEL. Momentrily short JP2, lcd will show current high setpoint. Then use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the HIGH setpoint.

Remove Juumper from JP2 and move jumper from JP4 back to JP5.
THIRD STEP

Move the jumper from JP4 back to JP5. AS310e will save setpoint. Lcd changes to show co2 level.

TO ADJUST LOW SETPOINT, ONLY THE SECOND STEP IS DIFFERENT.
For HIGH setpoint, close JP1 and use UP or DOWN button Momentarily short pins at JP1, lcd will show current low setpoint. Then use the UP or DOWN button to adjust the LOW setpoint. Move the jumper from JP4 back to JP5. AS310e will save setpoint. Lcd changes to show co2 level.

Note: You'll need small needle nose pliers, or a strong tweezer, unless you have long, strong fingernails to grasp the shorting block and move it back and forth between JP5 and JP4. Momentarily shorting pins across JP2 and JP#1 can be done with a small screwdriver, or knife blade, or, by borrowing the long-handled volt/milliamp jumper on AS310 circuit board, as shown in picture.
