AS310e CO2 Sensor/Controller for high humidity applications
In addition to dipping the pcb in urethane, we work carefully with a syringe and needle to coat elevated components. It's tedious work and care must be taken to avoid getting urethane in the mechanical switches and wire connection terminals. Without this protection, failure of the LCD due to condensation might occur.

High humidity and temperature change can lead to condensation of moisture on AS310e's printed circuit borad, causing an electrical short and failure, which can damage components.
For mushroom growers and others who use AS310 in humid environments, we dip the printed circuit board in urethane to protect it from moisture due to condensation or accidental drips and splashes. When As310e is used as a stationary controller inside mushroom growing rooms, this protective coating is essential to insure long life of the instrument.
