Here's how to control co2 level with variable speed fans AS310e's analog output can be connected directly to this Variable Frequency Drice (VFD) 
SmartFanš Stratus is an economical, highly versatile, microprocessor based variable frequency drive that provides precise variable speed control of 120/220Vac fans, up to 3 amps. The Stratus can control from 0-100% of fan capacity, has a nearly linear control curve and is very energy efficient at reduced speeds. 
A. 4-wire control cable runs from the VFD box to AS310e. It carries 24Vac to power AS310e and carries AS310e's analog control signal back to the VFD. B. 120Vac power supply cord. C. A 24Vac, 20vA, class II control transformer supplies power to operate AS310e D. Plug-in the fan to be controlled here. 
WIRE CONNECTIONSA. 120Vac power connects to VFD input and to transformer primary. B. 24Vac from transformer connects to AS310e's control cable. C. Analog output from AS310's control cable connects to VFD. Here's another option to control fan speed according to co2 level: This "NIMBUS" is rated for 120/240Vac, up to 6 amperes. 
SmartFanš Nimbus is an economical, compact, TRIAC based fan & motor control that fits in a standard 4x4 electrical job box and automatically controls speed of most single-phase AC fans. AS310e's 4-20ma analog control signal connects directly to Nimbus's input terminals to regulate motor speed based on co2 level. Nimbus's minimum motor speed is 30% of capacity. The control curve is fairly flat from 30-40%, then increases gradually from 50-70% and rises sharply from 80-100%. If the installed fan can supply enough fresh air to control co2 level while operating at 40-70% of it's capacity, Nimbus is a good choice. Compared to VFDs, Triacs do not run fans as slowly, the control curve is not linear, they aren't a energy efficient, but they cost a lot less. 
WIRING IS SIMPLE:
A. Nimbus output to 120Vac receptacle, B. 120Vac input power, C. & D. Four wire control cable to AS310e -- two wires (red and black) supply 24Vac to power AS310e, two wires (green and white) carry analog control signal from AS310e to Nimbus.
